I
was fortunate to be born in a very loving and traditional Indian
Family, my father who is senior government official instilled the
right Values at a very young age, which were reinforced at regular
basis by my mother, who herself being highly educated preferred to
stay home to take care of the family. All of my siblings preferred
to pursue a different carriers ranging from mechanical
engineering, software development to charted accountancy, which give
me a lot of exposure to other fields of studies as well. Life in
itself has been a great experience and medical school has added
dimensions to my personality. Very soon did I realize that my role
in this world has to be of a doctor, who can be a leader, a teacher
and a Friend. I graduated from Rajiv Gandhi University of Health
sciences, Bangalore, India. As I was preparing for my USMLE exams to
get ECFMG certified, which I did successfully in January of 2006, I
was starting to realize that I have a strong desire to do clinical
research. When I joined as an rotating intern in department of
Endocrinology at Robert wood Johnson University hospital, Hamilton
,in June of 06 with Dr Rizvi my aspirations to do clinical research
got a channel in the form of R-research. I really enjoyed my rounds
with him at the hospital discussing various clinical cases, the
small pearls of wisdom He would give us during rounds from his vast
experience were no less then verses from a scared book, As much as i
enjoyed my rounds at the hospital I also enjoyed my time spent at
R-research, Working on various Clinical research trials, under the
supervision of Dr. Rizvi. Apart from work I do have my interest in
outdoor camping, trekking and Wildlife adventure, in which I indulge
once too often.
